day 2 of shooting - medium shot requiring a moving boom to capture dialogue at different points, communicating with DOP and 1st AD to determine limits of motion for the boom to not enter frame

day 2 of shooting - outdoor shooting combined with director wanting natural in-shot ambience meant figuring out the optimal distance for capturing clean dialogue but without removing all ambience altogether.

final timeline - 6 tracks mixing dialogue, music, sfx, and atmos and combining audio from different takes than picture

day 3 of shooting - dolly shot required me to move with camera, extremely difficult to not capture any boom/mic contact noises and to simultaneously remain out of frame. while lapel microphones were used, there is no substitute for the dynamic range of shotgun microphones, so much effort was put into stepping quietly and carefully while keeping mic within close enough range of actors
